BioWare Austin is seeking a full-time Contract UI Artist to join our Austin team.  The Contract UI Artist will work with the Art Director and Lead Artists in establishing and extending the look and feel of the UI for Star Wars: The Old Republic.


Bioware Austin is looking for a software engineer with a strong background in C# for our Tools Team.  The team develops and maintains the content development tools to create the game world for Star Wars: The Old Republic. A successful candidate will enjoy working collaboratively with multiple teams and disciplines, delivering features iteratively, and constantly learning and evolving their skills. This position reports to the Lead Tools Engineer.



  • Reviews, analyzes, debugs, and modifies existing content development tools.
  • Gathers requirements, architects, documents, and implements new tools.
  • Writes clear, maintainable, portable, and performant code.
  • Participates in code reviews with other engineers.



  • 2+ years (minimum) of professional programming experience
  • Strong C# software architecture and programming skills
  • Data-driven application development using Oracle and/or SQLServer
  • C/C++ and Java experience is a plus
  • Scripting/dynamic languages, e.g. Python, Perl, Lua, is a plus
  • Web development using .NET and/or other server-side solutions is a plus
  • Experience developing on both Linux and Win32 platforms is a plus
  • Strong Perforce or other SCM experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with MMO and RPG game designs is a plus
  • Time management and organizational skills are essential
  • Experience working with agile methodologies is a plus
