Key Purpose of the Job

Double Negative is looking for a talented programmer, who has an interest in working with databases and a passion for film, to join its expanding R&D team.

Needs To Do

  • Develop and improve in-house software for the digital post-production of major feature films.
  • Work alongside Senior Engineers &Programmers in the Tech &R&D departments.
  • Interface with various groups clear design goals.
  • Communicate and work well in a close-knit team environment to create exceptional work.

Needs To Know

  • Proven experience in a DBA role.
  • An excellent understanding of programming languages/techniques.
  • An excellent knowledge of database systems, designs, their workings and their APIs.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of SQL.
  • A pragmatic approach to solving complex programming/production issues.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team oriented.
  • Confident in approach to getting things done.
  • Passionate about film.
  • Excited to tackle new and varied challenges.
