Stereo D is the recognized leader in high-quality conversions of 2D theatrical content into stereoscopic 3D imagery, working with major motion picture studios, directors, cinematographers, and VFX supervisors to bring their vision of 3D storytelling to the screen. Stereo D has completed work for such films as THE AVENGERS, AVATAR, CAPTAIN AMERICA, and STAR WARS. We currently have an opening for a Producer. This position is located in Toronto, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the successful management, execution and delivery of 3D conversion projects, including overall feature & any trailers or marketing pieces
  • Client management including organizing and executing successful client reviews, regular show reporting, scheduling with both clients & internal department teams, and daily troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with Stereographer to oversee film’s schedule and creative direction
  • Set overall project priorities
  • Communicate daily updates to Studio Clients, Production team, and Stereo D Senior Management
  • Collaborate with client and Stereo D department heads to create and communicate project specs across the studio
  • Collaborate with DI Producer in regards to pipeline, schedule & the successful delivery of assets
  • Collaborate with Stereo D department heads to ensure project is flowing smoothly through those individual departments
  • Communicate key project changes and updates to Stereo D Sr. management
  • Accountable for assembling the resources required for the production. 
  • Negotiates for resources and directs business activities. 
  • Is involved throughout all phases of the filmmaking process from development through completion.  Participates in the creation or enhancement of the Director's vision. 
  • Translates the vision into business direction for the production. 
  • Creates short- and mid-term strategies for the production. 
  • Estimates and establishes resource requirements, budgets, schedules and performance standards for the production.
  • Ensures that the production has sufficient technical, capital and human resources to meet production requirements. 
  • Interacts with the Director and top management to set production plans and strategies. 
  • Interacts with major decision makers to convince and influence business decisions. 
  • Negotiates internally and externally for significant resources, at top management level, that affect the performance and viability of the production. 
  • Sets objectives for direct reports and ensures their ongoing development. 
  • Is a proven leader in setting direction for a production and for inspiring and motivating production staff.

Qualifications:

  • Is a proven leader in setting direction for a production and for inspiring and motivating production staff.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Must be detail-oriented, multi-tasking, self-directed, with ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Must be resourceful, able to adapt to new situations, and to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Must be constantly seeking to improve efficiency and quality of technical operations.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines.
